F-A-Natic Fridays – Birds

Bird: a woman who is materially obsessed , and morally corrupt , but never the less finds highly physically desirable for the moment.

You’re probably asking yourself, “Why is Broadway writing about Birds?”. That’s a good question and I believe what intrigues me the most about birds are how relevant they believe they are to society. I had the opportunity to observe some Birds up close, and each experience was extraordinary. I will warn you if you chose to observe a Bird up close be very careful, as the definition states they are physically desirable. I can’t front, I have fallen victim to a couple of Birds, so please heed my warnings.

In my dealings with Birds I observed their attention to fashion, their surroundings, and of course themselves. No matter the situation Birds will always make it about them; it doesn’t matter if it is about them in a negative or a positive way. One minute they are name dropping (Diddy, any NBA/NFL player etc..) who they hung out with the night before and then in the next breath they are telling a sob story about how everything and everyone is against them. In their world there is no such thing as bad PR, it’s all about being talked about!

Any attempt to hate on these Birds will only feed their desires. The hate gives them strength as it validates their Bird like ways, now that I think about it that’s what sparks my interest in Birds. I mean what other creature feeds off of both positive and negative?

With all that said, there is one glaring weakness Birds share in common. In many cases these Birds go through life not even understanding this weakness. It’s very simple; there is a reason why a Bird is always on point fashion wise, or always making conversations all about them. It’s the never-ending hunger for attention, it comes from an emptiness they have no idea on how to fill.

That emptiness/void is LOVE!

They lack the ability to love themselves, because they have no idea how to love themselves. Birds look for others to fill that void, they use keen fashion sense, and interesting lifestyle in hopes to attract love.

Sadly enough these Birds eventually lose their glorious plumage, one by one their feathers aka desirable physical attributes begin to fade…. You then see these “Exotic” Birds for what they truly are; flying rats! Diseased filled rodents that carry plagues…

Bubonic and Black Plagues that have destroyed civilizations!!!

So be wary of the Bird with glorious plumage for it is not what it appears to be…..

Takeover Thursdays – Anthony Weiner

If you don’t know Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY), you better get to know this kat!

Rep. Weiner performed his own version of a ‘Takeover’ Wednesday morning in the House of Representatives. In about 7 minutes Rep Weiner summed up all of the frustrations of the White House, Democrats/Progressives in the House and Senate and the American people who support Health Care Reform (HCR).

Finally someone took it to the Republicans as Anthony Weiner started his rant by telling Republicans, “You guys have chutzpah (audacity)…”. Weiner’s Brooklyn side came out on this day, he took the floor of The House like a thug from BK taking a street corner.

In the wake of the Health Summit, Rep Weiner went on a rant pointing out the hypocrisy of Republicans and Democrats. Twice during his rant Weiner was stopped as he called Republicans, “wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry…”. Basically saying that Republicans are in the hip pockets of the insurance companies and will do whatever to protect those companies; aka BITCHES for Health Insurers.

When he made that statement Rep Lungren (R-CA) asked that Weiner’s “words be taken down…”. Lungren is saying here that Weiner’s comments are inappropriate and requesting that they be stricken from the record. In doing this Lungren is able to interrupt Weiner and have him restate his comments using different language. After a short delay Weiner is then permitted to continue.

In one of the more Gangsta moments you will ever see in The United States House of Representatives; Weiner refuses to change his comment and basically continues to call Republicans the BITCH of Health Insurers. Again Lungren interrupts Weiner request his “words to be taken down”. Once Weiner is allowed to continue you can still feel the fire and passion from him. He rips Republicans for standing in the way of real reform, change that is good for the people. As Weiner is wrapping up his diatribe he points out that the long-standing hypocrisy from Republicans is coming to an end, “Enough of the phoniness. We are gonna solve this problem because for years our Republican friends have been unable to and unwilling to. Deal with it!”

Democratic Senators & Representatives need to watch this video and take notes. For too long Democrats took the high road and tried to have intellectual debates about HCR, we saw this time and time again during the summer with all the town hall meetings. That message was not being heard by the masses; Rep Weiner message Wednesday was heard by all and is the perfect lead-in for the Health Summit taking place Thursday morning!

WTF/WTH Wednesdays – Aisha….

What happened to Aisha?

My dudes out there know what I am talking about, Aisha is that type of girl who every guy will always remember. She is the girl who I will always remember, but this memory is not a great one. Aisha was the girl who got away, my relationship with her lasted a whole week; lol! All was good when I was dating Aisha, we talked everyday and when the ice cream truck came around if I had money I used it to buy Aisha ice cream; I was doing it big back then. It was the best week of my life, I was the envy of the block and I was riding high. That was until her cousin Ike heard about our little relationship, the usually mild manner Ike was not so mild manner once he heard about this “torrid” love affair.

Ike decided it was time for the relationship to be over, he came over to me one day and basically told he would beat my ass if I ever talked to his cousin again. As a kid I remember thinking, “what just happened?”. So I had a choice to make and it was an easy one for me, I stopped speaking to Aisha. Yup, I punked out!!!!

WTH Just Happened?????

What’s weird about the whole thing is after that day I can’t remember ever seeing Aisha again. Maybe Ike scared me so much that Aisha cease to exist in my mind. Well, except for the occasionally thought about what ever happened to Aisha? So over the years from time to time I would be reminded of the whole Ike/Aisha incident, my boys would crack jokes and it was all good. I had moved on, the kid was still out on the dating scene; HAHA!!!

After not thinking about or seeing Aisha for a while, one day I was sitting in front of my friend’s house. Nothing out of the ordinary on this day, except for the 3 girls walking down the block. None of us recognized the girls, except the one in the purple looked real familiar to me. Couldn’t quiet put my finger on it, but as the girls passed by us the one in the purple says, “Hello Bobby…” (of course she said my nickname back then but I am not revealing that). I look at her even harder and I can’t believe it, it’s Aisha all grown up (and I mean ALL GROWN UP). I didn’t know what to say, all I could do was give that nervous wave back.

WTF just happened!

After all these years I had not seen Aisha and all of these feelings began to rush back. I had so many questions:

1. How did you recognize me?

2. Where have you been?

3. Where’s your cousin Ike?

After the initial shock of the moment I finally filled my boys in on what just happened. See the block changed over the years and this was a new crop of friends. So I finished telling the story of how I knew Aisha and they were like, “so what’s the next move?”. Great question, at that point my mind was completely blown! A couple of minutes passed and after major encouragement from the fellas, I decided I was going to stop her when she came back.

So I waited, and waited, and waited some more… I wish I could say that she finally walked by and we talked, but she never walked back that same way, that was the last time I saw Aisha. That was 1990, I haven’t really thought about Aisha until earlier today. It was strange just a passing thought.

Since that day I try to never let a opportunity pass me by, it sounds so cliché but it’s true. You never know when you will get another shot. I can’t lie, every once in a while I will visit the old block (223rd) and I will drive by where Aisha lived. I use it as a reminder, you have to seize the moment. Carpe Diem

This may sound sad but it really isn’t a sob story. I learned from it and that’s what you have to take from life, there is always a lesson to be learn; I can’t live in regret. I mean seriously, I was like 9 or 10 years old when I first met Aisha. When I see lady I like I go for it; well at least I try (cant front I still get a little nervous). No situation will ever makeup for missing out on Aisha, but rest assured Broadway will never been seen waiting for that lady to pass by again.

Hopefully one day I will be able to run into Aisha and we can have a good laugh about all of this, that would be cool. Until then I will go on with loving life, it is what it is!!

I will say this, no hard feelings towards Ike. He felt like he was protecting his little cousin and I can understand that, but on the real Fuck Ike!!!!!

Talking Points Tuesdays – Health Care Reform (HCR)

In light of the Health Care Summit that will take place this Thursday (2/25/2010) I would like to take a minute and attempt to breakdown President Obama’s Proposal for Health Care Reform (HCR). The summit will begin at 10am and last until 4pm, and if your interested in viewing this you can check it out on CSPAN3.

Before I start I would like anyone reading this Blog to ask themselves one question:

Do you believe that every United States Citizens should be able to afford Health Care Insurance?

In my opinion I believe every citizen of the United States should have health insurance. There I said it, call me a Socialist all you want. In our society the phrase “affordable Insurance” is an oxymoron; depending on where you live the cost of health care varies. For example in New York the annual premium health plan was $13,296, while a similar plan in Iowa was $5609 (cost of someone purchasing Health Care on their own since their job or lack of job does not offer insurance).

Even if you are lucky enough to have insurance there is no guarantee you will be covered if you were to ever get sick. Imagine you have a perfectly good job and your job offers great insurance plans. Every paycheck you see your money going towards paying for your health care coverage; you wish more of that money would come to you but hey it’s worth the security, right?? Well, you get sick and this is considered a catastrophic illness (severe illness requiring prolonged hospitalization or recovery). Your insurance will eventually run out and the hospital bills will continue to pile up. Sooner or later it gets to be too much and you can longer survive under the mountain of the bills.

Most people will look at that scenario above and say to themselves well that has not happened to me and I am all good, who does that really happen to? Folks this is very real, 60% of the personal bankruptcies in the United States are due to Medical bills. It doesn’t matter how rich you are; Health Care in this country is out of control!

– 1980 U.S. spent $253 Billion in Health Care cost
– 1990 U.S. spent $714 Billion in Health Care cost
– 2007 U.S. spent $2.2 Trillion in Health Care cost
– 2009 U.S. spent $2.7 Trillion in Health Care cost

Back in 2007 31% of the Health Care cost went to hospital care, and that number will continue to increase as the number of Americans without Health Care continues to rise. It is projected that nearly 7 million people will lose their insurance coverage, a large part of that number comes from people who will lose their job or be denied insurance because of a pre-existing condition. Only the Health Insurance industry can report record earning while losing that many customers. How could that be?

Its simple the less sickly people who insurers have to cover the more money than can save, they can also raise rates and without worrying about competition. Look at Anthem Insurance in California, they will raise their rates 39%. Who can afford that? We know poor people can’t but I know many middle class people cannot afford that type of raise hike. To put it in perspective, say you are paying $700 a month for insurance (which is a lot) with Anthem’s rate hike you’re looking at almost $1000 a month for health insurance. WOW, this is insanity!

If this spending continues and we continue to allow insurance companies to PROFIT off of our illness this country will go bankrupt!

With all that said what will President Obama’s plan do to help cover more people and bring cost down? Let see…..

The President’s Proposal:

• It makes insurance more affordable by providing the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history, reducing premium costs for tens of millions of families and small business owners who are priced out of coverage today. This helps over 31 million Americans afford health care who do not get it today – and makes coverage more affordable for many more. The government will put limits on how much anyone will have to pay to receive health care coverage. And depending upon your income, you may be among the tens of millions of Americans who will get a tax credit to help pay for your coverage.

• It sets up a new competitive health insurance market giving tens of millions of Americans the exact same insurance choices that members of Congress will have.

• It brings greater accountability to health care by laying out commonsense rules of the road to keep premiums down and prevent insurance industry abuses and denial of care.

• It will end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions.

• Allow purchasing Health Care Insurance across state lines. Remember my earlier example of how someone paying for insurance in Iowa is a lot cheaper than purchasing insurance in New York (New York the annual premium health plan was $13,296, while a similar plan in Iowa was $5609).

• It puts our budget and economy on a more stable path by reducing the deficit by $100 billion over the next ten years – and about $1 trillion over the second decade – by cutting government overspending and reining in waste, fraud and abuse.

Some will argue that it is not fair for hard-working Americans to help subsidise coverage for the less unfortunate (poor people). In other words some feel that if you can’t afford insurance oh well! If your poor aka lazy (not my words, their words), I should not have to pay for them to get coverage. People wake up, you are already paying for those who are uninsured! Those without insurance or forced to go to hospital emergency rooms for care, when you use emergency rooms as your primary physician (doctor you would use for annual checkup) it is a lot more costly; approximately $1000 per patient. Who do you think pays for that $1000 visit??? U.S. taxpayers, it’s called a hidden tax. So no matter what we are paying for poor aka lazy people; if you have insurance you will be less inclined to avoid going to the doctor. Something as simple as an annual checkup could prevent a small issue turning into something bigger.

Very simple pay a price now in providing 30 million more Americans health care or pay a larger price allowing that 30 million uninsured to use emergency rooms across the United States.

If anything else I implore people to do the research, and figure it out for yourself. This proposal includes Republican ideas, no more excuses John Boehner and Eric Cantor. No more false rumors about Death Panels, government choosing your doctor, or illegal immigrants being covered. If you don’t believe me check it out yourself!

Let’s stop the nonsense, pass Health Care Reform. The U.S. ranks #1 in Health Care cost but at best we are middle of the pack when compared to other nations. So let us not wait until it’s too late, it is time for reform. 1 Trillion is a lot of money, I can’t deny that. When you look at how much we spent last year it is cheaper to fix than to leave it alone. 1 Trillion < 2.7 Trillion!!!

Militant Mondays – White Boy

How is it that in 2010 a White Boy can’t walk up into a predominately White club without being harassed by security. What happened to the good old days when a White boy could walk anywhere in America without question?

These are some crazy times we are living in. This past weekend I was with hanging out with my peoples when we witnessed the unbelievable.

Now if you know NYC nightlife you already know how it goes down, but I will quickly break it down for the non-New Yorkers.

Basically if you’re a group of guys trying to get up in a hot club it’s not going to happen unless you getting a bottle or hitting off security with some cash. Now add the color thing and you better have the right gear on top of everything else, lol. Even then, you can have the money for bottles, security and the right gear and still be denied or at least be delayed in getting into the club.

That’s when you need the ultimate hookup; The Owner! With the owner as a hookup there is no stopping you.

Back to the story… On this night we were working with the ultimate hookup, we talking about 6 dudes with no chicks (chicks were waiting for inside,YESSIR) walking into one of the hottest NYC spots without any issues. As we walk in we immediately head towards our table, well….. We were until security yells out, “Yo, White boy… Ayo White boy.”

It takes us a minute to figure who thus kat is talking to. Then it dawns on us, one of the 6 homies is White. I was thinking to myself like wow you didn’t have to shout our boy like that? Did it look that suspicious that a lil White boy was rolling with 5 Black dudes? Was that so odd??

At that point we cleared the air and it was all good. Security backed off and went back to doing his job. For the next couple of minutes we laughed about it, but at the same time we were somewhat disturbed by the situation. Needles to say a couple of shots of Patron along with Grey Goose and Cranberry made us all forget about the ignorance for the time being.

In retrospect, that was still some crazy shit!! Maybe I am making a big deal out of nothing, but I can’t justify the ignorance of that security dude. Maybe that was his payback for all the White kats in the club having fun spending money he didn’t have. Or maybe it was the frustration boiling over from dealing with the door and having everybody coming at him all at once. I don’t know and really the only that will know is that dude.

I do know this, if it was a White security dude yelling out “Black Boy” it would have been a crazy situation at that point. This leads me to my point, where is the outrage for “White Boy”? Who will stand up for Opie when he is made fun of??? LOL, seriously there are double standards that are excepted too easily in our society. When Black people yell out “White Boy” it’s funny but let White people yell out “Black Boy”. I guarantee somebody getting knocked the f**k out!

As Black people we can’t sit around and cry foul when “WE” feel the situation is not in our favor. We all need to recognize foul is foul!

I have to hand it to my homies we all looked at the situation as messed up, I think we are actually growing up. A couple of years ago I can’t front we would have laughed our asses and had jokes on our boy. We still do the jokes but we still recognized the issue. In my eyes that’s where it starts, first recognize then put forth solutions. Not saying I have the solution but I am thinking about it; one step at a time folks….

I will give credit to my “White” homie, he handled himself. I think we more disturbed by the comment then he was. As for the security dude, I have no animosity towards him. I just hopes he chooses his words a lil more wisely in the future, it wasn’t too long ago when being called “Black Boy”, “Negro”, or “Ni**er” was said in public without anyone flinching but you!

I guess we can call that progress, right??? Like Tracy Morgan said in his new movie, ‘Cop Out’; “The President is Black we can make decisions now….”. Maybe Ignorance is Bliss, hmmmmm!!!

F-A-Natic Fridays – Tiger Woods

Caught bits and pieces of Tiger Woods public apology to his wife, family, friends and fans. For the first time I think we all witnessed Eldrick Tont Woods instead of Tiger Woods. He was vulnerable but in control.

I appreciated seeing this side of Tiger, but at the same time I hated seeing this side. In all honesty why does Tiger have to apologize to anyone outside of his wife and family? I know he has to protect his endorsements and image, but all this dog and pony show is for the birds. There is no way he can win with this public apology; you got experts trying to read his body language and the everyones who think they are experts talking about he didn’t seem genuine.

Everyone needs to fall back and mind theirs. That man doesn’t owe us anything, except getting back to golf and running shit! If his wife and mom are cool with him I am good.

Thats what it all boils down to, but this game is terrible. The golf game doesn’t love Tiger they NEED Tiger. Those kats on the PGA tour could care less about some apology. Reckless ass Nick Faldo making comments about Tiger and how he still hasnt answered when he will be playing golf again. See how these kats are, Tiger made it happen for these kats and when kats like Faldo make comments like that it just shows how quick they show there true colors.

I say f**k them Tiger it’s all about you. Like you said the people in the room with you during the press are your peoples. If golf thought Tiger was a beast before, they are about to see an animal. He will be taking no prisoners, and as fans we can sit back and enjoy. This dude is about to be on some focus we have never seen before. The golf course is his playground and heaven. He is about to kill the game.

The Chinese New Year was just celebrated and guess what it’s The Year of Tiger!!!!

Takeover Thursdays – Get Your Weight Up!!!!

So I wanted to address all those kats out there that seem me as a one sided individual that is drunk off the ‘kool-aid’. Before you start talking about me do me a favor and get to know me first. There is a method to my madness, I don’t recklessly rant about politics or life.

When it comes to tweeting or blogging, let’s be clear I do this for fun but at the same time I am not out here to embarrass myself.

Well…. Except when I talk about Maggie Gyllenhaal, tweet about Speidi or reply to Amanda Bynes tweets; HaHa!!!

What was I saying again????

Oh yeah, I’m not reckless…

As I was saying, if you know me I only talk about what I know. I am not a puppet or a walking talking point. I do my research and come to my own conclusions. Too many people in this world are closed minded and make decisions based on half truths or misguided beliefs. This world is about having an open mind and the willingness to learn something new.

I pride myself on looking at both sides and giving the benefit of the doubt when necessary. I am the type of person that listens to any argument and try to understand that person’s stance. And when I don’t have all the facts, I will take a step back and look it up.

With that said, someone referred to me today as being strong one way and that I jump on any point that actually lowers my viewpoint. Hmmm, interesting…

Let me see if I can break this down in simple terms.

I will agree that I can be strong one way, but isn’t that the case when you believe in something? When I know something and or believe in something I am going to defend my viewpoint when I hear uninformed rebuttals. I can’t let you spit lies or half truths, I am sorry but that’s me! I thought that’s what your suppose to do, if not please let me know.

As for me jumping on someone when they say something to lower my point. Again I have to ask, what am I suppose to do? If I know your wrong I will let you know, if you can’t handle that then don’t jump in the ring with me. I got stamina and I almost never say “No Mas”.

I am not a pushover when it comes to debating. I will let you say what you have to say but you better come correct. “Ain’t No Half Steppin”, as Big Daddy Kane once said. I think I just dated myself with that last joint, lol.

I am not trying to come off as knowing everything but I am confident in what I do know. One day I could be watching Rachel Maddow the next day I am listening to Mark Levine on he radio. So when you say I am one way or that I drink the kool-aid your sadly mistaken.

So relax and pump the brakes when you see me or read my work. Take it however you want to take, it is what is.

Keep in mind I will only send one warning shot. If your all about ‘Talking Points’ “Child Please” (Thanks Ocho) I have no respect for your debate game. Being Sean Hannity’s or Glenn Beck’s puppet is trash, your easy to debate and easy to frustrate.

All in all I love to talk the “Facts”, but keep it at the facts. All you “Birthers”, “Truthers”, and Tea Party Nation kats stay away from facts like it’s the plague. I can’t deal with that, your all NUTBAGS!!!

Takeover Thursdays – Snooki

First of I have to admit I follow this chick on Twitter. It was fun at first but now it’s boring, her life is nothing but beating the beat up or making sure her puff is right. Seriously Snooki how many times can you talk about beating the beat up????

This will probably come off as hating, but why does this chick get any shine? I can’t front, Jersey Shore was definitely entertaining but this fist pumping troll is the worse! Her claim to fame is getting knocked the f**k out, albeit by a dude but still. The moment is over and I am still trying to figure when her 15 minutes will be over. Let’s go thru her list of achievements for the hell of it:

1. Managed to show her thong on tv every week
2. She was drunk off her ass every episode (except after she was knocked out)
3. From what I saw no matter how hard she tried she could not give the pu$$y away.
4. She can’t take a punch, lol. I know not fair
5. She managed to make her dumbass puff famous, WTH!

This chick is worthless and barely entertaining, but she has fans who love her. I heard Nicole Ritchie’s bum ass was looking for her to hangout. Is it really that bad Nicole Richie? I know Paris dumped you and all but damn.

I need Snooki aka Treasure Troll to take it down a notch; I don’t know how much longer we can take this chicks antics. They got this trash out at every event and talk shows talking about beating the beat up; GTFOH with that shit! I can’t wait to see the next time someone beats her as up.

I’ll give Snooki credit for one thing; she is riding this opportunity until the wheels fall off. She already got naked pics of herself floating around; of course she is denying they are her. If they are fake, I will be even more mad that someone took the time to sit down and Photoshop her head on someone else’s body. Damn you computer nerds, sitting around OD’ing off of Red Bull; LOL!

In all honesty I really can’t blame Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki aka “The Ultimate Guidette”. It’s OUR fault she is even getting any shine, we love to watch her reckless behavior. It’s all about tuning in to see how crazy she can be; one episode she is dancing doing cartwheels and flashing everyone the next episode she got knocked the f**K out. So what does that say about us?

When happened to watching a fictional family like the Cosby’s or tuning in every week to watch ER and see how crazy the next emergency was going to be? Now it’s all about this fake reality! There is nothing real about the Snooki or the whores on “For the Love of Ray J”; actually you can throw Ray J’s punk ass in that crowd as well. No way in hell this kat would still be walking the earth if he released a tape of him smashing my daughter (or sister) from behind! Was it Ray J or Kim K who released the tape???? Oh well, in this new age of television everything goes!

What scares me is that our thirst for this “reality” has grown at such a tremendous rate and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. What will the networks come up with next to develop the next Snooki sensation? How far away are we from watching live executions or games where the loser not only loses the game but their life as well? At this rate movies like “Running Man”, “Gamer” and “Death Races” will be a REALITY!

But I digress; I never intended to hate Snooki. I was minding my business flipping thru the channels when this nasty troll popped upon my TV. I just need to turn the television off…. Yeah right!!!

Snooki no hard feelings, I am just angry some times….

I know I should not give Sarah Palin the time of day but there is just no end to her hypocrisy!!

In the latest round of “As Palin Turns”, Sarah fresh off of asking for President Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel’s resignation for using the word “Retard” when he was speaking to a group of Democrats he disagreed with. As some of you may already know Sarah Palin’s youngest son Trig suffers from Down Syndrome, so now she is the “Spokesperson” for special needs children. I actually applaud Sarah Palin for standing up for this cause, after some research I discovered that there is legislation in Congress looking to remove the word from being used in any legislative documents. So good for you Sarah Palin for being active in such a cause.

So that was the good, here is the bad….

While Mrs. Palin was speaking from her high horse for special needs children she completely missed the boat on fellow Conservative Rush Limbaugh’s tirade on the word ‘Retard’:

If you missed it folks here is a snippet of Rush’s comments:
“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,” Limbaugh said on the show. “I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks.

“They are loony tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It’s in the news,”

In my opinion Rush is just as guilty as Rahm; he is clearly stating that Liberals are retards. So how did Palin respond to Rush’s remarks? She basically gave him a pass, never asked for his resignation or apology.

She did release a statement thru her spokeswoman: “Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.” Ok, so Palin lashes out at Rahm on her own calling for his resignation but when Big Bad Rush says something she uses her spokeswoman to relay a message to Rush???

Huh???

WTF Sarah Palin!!!

Ms ‘Going Rogue’ punked out, here was a chance for Sarah Palin to really distinguish herself as a force to be reckon with in the Republican Party and she backed down. So much for being that tough “Hockey Mom”!

Just about 2 weeks has passed since the Rahm and Rush mess and now the tv show “Family Guy” decided to take a shot at Palin. In the episode Chris is smitten with a girl who has Down syndrome. Characters in the show mock the girl. Later, when asked about her parents, she says, “My mom’s the former governor of Alaska.”

So how would Sarah handle this incident? Keep in mind that Palin works for FOX News Corp and “Family Guy” is a Fox show! Like the punk that she is Palin decided she could be a little more stern and call the creators of “Family Guy” “cruel, cold-hearted people”. Since Seth Macfarlane is not the voice of Conservatives I guess she felt she could take him on. Anyway, not once did she challenge Rupert Murdoch (Owner of FOX) to take the show off the air.

In true Palin fashion (attention whore) she made an appearance on Bill O’Reillly’s show (FOX NEWS Show). Bill asked about the Rush incident and the perception that she took it easy on Rush; Palin responded by saying that Rush’s use of the word “Retard” was satire and that we just need to stop the name calling all together.

I have to say it again Sarah Palin, WTF!!!!

Stop the hypocrisy, its time for you to come clean Palin. Just let everyone know that you are not really in this for the people. You are all about yourself; even on the campaign trail in 2008 it was always about you! Everything you do is a calculated move that will help the Palin Express.

Sarah Palin in my opinion you took a huge step back with all of this nonsense, she had an opportunity to really show the “Going Rogue” Palin portrayed in her book. Instead she backed down to Rush and his big mouth; Palin could learn something from John McCain’s daughter Meghan McCain

At least she had the guts to call out the Tea Party Nation for their racist ways as Former Representative Tom Tancredo spoke about bringing back literacy test and “Birthers” continued to question the president’s citizenship. I look at Meghan McCain as a stronger individual than Palin will ever be!

For the record I am not a huge fan of Meghan McCain but I give her credit for standing up and trying to be a leader for young Republicans!

Free Flowing – Nuclear Power (Keith Olbermann’s Ignorance)

And here I was thinking I would have nothing to write about today, thank you Ketih Olbermann!

I expect a lot more from Keith Olbermann, his irresponsible commentary on nuclear energy is along the same lines as the lousy reporting by Fox News or Rush Limbaugh.

Mr. Olbermann sir… No offense, you’re ignorant (lacking knowledge)!!

How is it that it’s been 30 years since a nuclear reactor has been built in the U.S.? Hmmm… Maybe because we have ignorant people like Keith Olbermann passing himself as a knowledgable commentators.

Tonight on Keith Olbermann’s show ‘Countdown’ he discussed President Obama’s announcement for investing in nuclear energy, with $8 Billion dollars in loan guarantees to help build a nuclear power plant in Georgia. Before I get started on Olbermann allow me to give a brief background on Nuclear Energy and its relation to Liberals in the United States. For years Liberals have been against the use of nuclear energy and their concerns in the past were valid. Their concerns included effects to the environment, safety, and disposal of the spent nuclear rods used to produce the energy. Then accidents at Three Mile Island (1979) and Chernobyl (1986) halted the nuclear energy movement in the U.S. Unfortunately Liberals have been extremely slow in keeping up and understanding how technology and regulations have protected the enviroment as well as improved safety and disposal of nuclear waste.

Back to Olbermann….

Olbermann’s states, “President Obama promised a new generation of safe/clean nuclear power plants in this country. Key words safe and clean third word possible???”.

Staying true to his liberal form Keith Olbermann took exception to this announcement by citing nuclear accidents that occurred at Three Mile Island (1979) and Chernobyl (Russia 1986) and the controversy of storing spent nuclear rods. In his commentary Olbermann continuously referred to these 2 accidents as if they happened just yesterday. He even stooped as low as to use the Simpsons to question Nuclear Energy, SERIOUSLY?!?!?! On any given night Olbermann will cite the fear tactics used by Fmr President Bush and his administration to scare the public into supporting their stance on Terrorism. So with great hypocrisy Olbermann using scare tactics failed to mention some key facts about studies and investigations done concerning the events surrounding Three Mile Island and Chernobyl.

Three Mile Island (TMI):
From 1981 to 2002, numerous studies examining the effects of the TMI accident found no injuries, deaths or discernible health effects from the small amount of radiation released. If anything Three Mile Island proved the effectiveness of safety measures at a nuclear facility built and regulated in the United States. Yes radiation was released in the atmosphere due to the accident but it was minimal; studies of the soil also showed no significant amounts of radiation were ever found. Of course if Olbermann had mentioned this it might have taken away from his argument.

Chernobyl:
Without a doubt Chernobyl is the worse nuclear power plant disaster in the history of nuclear energy, there is no denying the devastation caused by the accident. So Olbermann has the right to mention this accident, but what he failed to discuss were the failures by the operators and the failure of proper regulations in Russia that could have prevented or at minimized the accident. For example, the protection shelter for the reactor at Chernobyl could be compared to a tool shed in your background that was purchased from Home Depot! An accident like this would never happen in the United States as a Chernobyl style plant would never be built-in the U.S

As for those spent nuclear rods, if Mr Olbermann did his research he might have mentioned that France and other nations with nuclear power plants recycle spent nuclear rods to reduce waste and need for storage. If the U.S. adopted such technology the need to dispose the nuclear waste (Yucca Mountain) would decrease drastically.

Mr. Olbermann also failed to mention that 80% of the energy produced by France is produced by Nuclear Energy. Meanwhile the 80% of the energy produced in the U.S. is produced by dirty Coal Burning plants that release CO2 in our environment. By the way there is no such thing ‘Clean Coal’!

So to answer your question Mr Olbermann about nuclear energy being safe; YES. You can run a safe nuclear power plant, it has been proven in France and China. So why would it be so hard to believe that a nation like the United States could not do the same.

To backup his argument about safety Olbermann enlisted the help of Jeffery Lewis, Director of the Nuclear Strategy and Nonproliferation Initiative at the New American Foundation. Mr Lewis went on to provide a weak argument that nuclear power plants are slighty safer than 30 years ago but that they will never be completely safe. Mr Lewis then made a curious statement, that the risk of preventing an accident is not ZERO!

Really Mr Lewis???? I dare you or anyone to find me a Coal Burning Plant that has zero risk of accidents that could cause harm to the envirnoment or people. As a matter of fact when a coal plant runs without any issues that plant is causing harm to the envirnoment everyday it is running. It’s real simple Mr Lewis and Mr Olbermann; when you burn coal you release CO2 to the atmosphere,which has been linked to Global Warming. As a card-carrying Liberal Mr Olbermann I am pretty sure you believe in Global Warming aka Climate Change.

What was it again that cause Climate Change…. Oh yeah CO2 keeping the heat trapped and warming the planet, hmmmm!!!

Lets see if I can simplify this for you, nuclear energy is our best alternative to provide enough clean energy to power this nation. Many will say, “What about renewable energy like Wind, and Solar?” Yes, wind and solar is clean energy, but the problem with wind and solar is that the wind is not always blowing and the technology to store solar energy is not up to par to handle our needs. Wind and Solar energy cannot sustain the Base Load power need for our society. Look at it this way; when you turn on the light switch in your house or apartment the lights come on. The power used to ensure we have electricity to turn on our lights on is known as Base Load. Of course this all flies out the window if you don’t pay your electric bill, HA!!

I know I know, I get a little bit worked up over this stuff, but if I am going to tweet or blog my displeasure with Republicans and/or call Glenn Beck a nutbag. Then I have to do the same with Democrats and their commentators.

With that said Mr Olbermann you are Bobby Broadway’s Worst Person……
