When U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson ruled that the Affordable Care Act’s provision requiring people to buy health insurance or face a tax penalty as unconstitutional; he setup the stage for the debate to taken to the Supreme Court.  Judge Vinson ruled the “individual mandate” unconstitutional, and without the mandate decided that the entire law could not be implemented.

This is not necessarily about Judge Vinson, but more about Justice Clarence Thomas and the role his wife Ginni Thomas  plays in the health care debates.  When this case reaches the Supreme Court will Justice Thomas recuse himself?  It is well-known that Thomas’ wife has worked for and supported several groups opposed to the Affordable Care Act aka Health Care Reform.  With that said I cannot see how Justice Thomas can be an unbiased; it is a nice thought that he can separate himself from his wife’s beliefs… but Ginni Thomas protests against health care reform is more like passion!

It is clear that Justice Thomas MUST do the right thing and take away any controversy in future rulings.

Of course I am not the only one to express their feelings on this subject….
