It was only a matter of time, the Director of Exempt Organizations at Internal Revenue Service Lois Lerner who has become the face of the IRS targeting scandal has been put on administrative leave  for her role in the scandal.  Yesterday Lerner put more of a spotlight on her when she invoked her Fifth Amendment rights during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing.

This appears to be the 1st steps in what will lead to Lerner’s termination from the IRS, this may appear to be a no-brainer but due to Lerner’s civil servants status there is a process that has to be followed.  Lerner could hand in her resignation but I doubt this will happen, she believes she has not done anything wrong.  Lerner has stated she took action when she was made aware of the targeting,
