Wait… Pokemon Go Hasn’t Been Released in Japan Yet?!?!?

You can’t go anywhere, or read anything without someone mentioning Pokemon Go and trying to catch Pikachu.

This craze has taken over and is at a level that people are getting robbed at meetups, and causing accidents.

2-weeks after its release in the U.S. the numbers are insane; 30 million downloads and $35 million in revenue. In that timeframe Nintendo‘s value doubled that’s without a release in Japan yet!

As of right now Niantic (the game-maker) announced they have delayed the Japan launch, due to an email link discussing the launch plans. Whenever Niantic decides to release Pokemon Go in Japan, I hope their servers are ready for the onslaught of users.

And with all that energy, I can only wonder what will be the next fad to blow up.

That’s it! Stop trying to make excuses for Melania and the campaign’s speech writers, stop blaming Hillary Clinton, and stop blaming the media for focusing on this.

Just own it and move on, because the more you deny, the more it becomes a story/joke. This is a stupid story not worthy of the energy needed for the denial.

Minneapolis Cops Upset with Lynx Players and Their Message

Four off-duty Minneapolis cops left their security post at the WNBA Minnesota Lynx game in protest over Lynx’s players wearing t-shirts that called for a need for change.

Before the game the Lynx’s Maya Moore explained the meaning behind the shirts.

“If we take this time to see that this is a human issue and speak out together, we can greatly decrease fear and create change,”

“Tonight we will be wearing shirts to honor and mourn the losses of precious American citizens and to plead for change in all of us.”

Instead of approaching the ladies to discuss the meaning of the shirts, the 4 police officers took the childish way out and walked out.

And right there is the problem…

If those Lynx’s players got it wrong, why not talk to them and explain your point of view?

Kids play the silent game when they don’t get their way, not adults!

Carmelo Anthony’s Call to Action

I am a Carmelo Anthony fan!

Now, when I usually say that I say it in the context of the Knicks and defending Anthony from the haters (You know who you are).

This time around I proudly state my fandom for Melo because of what he’s doing off the court.

In the light of the tragic events of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and Dallas. Melo, who is not known for his leadership on the court has put out a call to action to everyone…

“The system is Broken. Point blank period. It has been this way forever. Martin Luther King marched. Malcolm X rebelled. Muhammad Ali literally fought of US. Our anger should be towards the system. If the system doesn’t change we will continue to turn on the TVs and see the same thing. We have to put the pressure on the people in charge in order to get this thing we call JUSTICE right. A march doesn’t work. We tried that. I’ve tried that. A couple social media post/tweet doesn’t work. We’ve all tried that. That didn’t work. Shooting 11 cops and killing 5 WILL NOT work. While I don’t have a solution, and I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t have a solution, we need to come together more than anything at this time. We need each other. These politicians have to step up and fight for change. Go to your local officials, leaders, congressman, assemblymen/assemblywoman and demand change. There’s NO more sitting back and being afraid of tackling and addressing political issues anymore.  Those days are long gone. We have to step up and take charge. We can’t worry about what endorsements we gonna lose or whose going to look at us crazy. I need your voices to be heard. We can demand change. We just have to be willing to. THE TIME IS NOW. I’M all in. Take Charge. Take Action. DEMAND CHANGE.”

As Melo mentions, there’s “No more sitting back…”

He has laid down the challenge, it’s now up to us to take him up on it!

We have to be smart about what we are doing though. We need to steer our anger in the right direction. The system is Broken. Point blank period. It has been this way forever. Matt Harvey Opts For Season-Ending Surgery #DarkKnight

Matt Harvey‘s season long nightmare has come to an end, as he has decided to have season-ending surgery to address the recently diagnosed condition thoracic outlet syndrome. This occurs when muscles in the neck and shoulders impinge on nerves leading to numbness and loss of strength and stamina in the shoulder and arm.

All season long Harvey has insisted that he just could not get comfortable on the mound, and it was evident by his performance. The pitcher known as the Dark Knight lost his feel for the game, his pitches, and the love of many Mets fans (Not this one, just saying).

And while surgery is never a good thing, especially for a pitcher and his arm. Harvey seems relieved to know that there was something physically wrong possibly causing his issues.

Bystanders Wake Up and Recognize #AltonSterling #PhilandoCastile

When I 1st heard Jesse Williams acceptance speech for BET’s Humanitarian award. I couldn’t help but focus on the following….

And let’s get a couple things straight, just a little sidenote – the burden of the brutalized is not to comfort the bystander.That’s not our job, alright – stop with all that. If you have a critique for the resistance, for our resistance, then you better have an established record of critique of our oppression. Every time there’s a video released of police brutality or a shooting, there is always someone that needs an explanation of why this is a problem. Over the past year or 2, I have found myself trying to be understanding and taking the time to explain, but after watching Alton Sterling and Philando Castile being gunned down… I just can’t do it anymore

If you can’t see there is something seriously wrong with what is going down in America after watching these latest videos; then that is on you!

And if you answer to all of this is just comply with the police… As Mr Williams said, “SIT DOWN!”
