The 2017 season for the New York Mets has been a struggle due to injuries and inconsistencies with their pitching.
And after taking a beating in the first 3 games against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Mets are about to officially be sellers at the trading deadline. With the season on the brink of being lost you would think players like Wilmer Flores would be focus on trying to show management that he should be in their future plans.
Instead Flores is worried about what Yasiel Puig is doing after Puig cracked a 3-run homer and admired his work.
Instead of being upset with his own play (currently slumping with something like 4 hits in his last 30 at-bats) and the play of his team. Flores decided he had to let Puig know he wasn’t happy as Puig made his way around the bases.
“I don’t think he knows what having respect for the game is,”
“We’re playing horrible right now. We don’t need his [behavior]. He disrespected us.” – Wilmer Flores
Seriously Flores?!?
If you don’t like the other team showing you up, how about you play better?
Flores needs to not be so sensitive, but hey what else should I expect from a guy who cried on the field in 2015 because he thought he was traded. Man up Wilmer, stop watching other players being an impact on the game and start being an impact for the Mets!
As always….
If there is something to be said, “It’s On Broadway” to step up and say it!!
