What is North Korea’s Definition of Denuclearization?

When the news broke that North Korea would suspend their nuclear missile test program ahead of peace talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, President Trump took to Twitter and tweeted the following…

TrumpNKTweet

While it is true that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has said he is suspending their testing program, this is still far from North Korea giving up their nuclear program. Any confusion going into the summit between Kim and Trump can prove to be disastrous.

For North Korea, the suspension of their nuclear missile testing is not a concession to the United States. They have completed all the testing they feel is necessary

“We no longer need any nuclear test or test launches of intermediate and intercontinental range ballistic missiles, and because of this the northern nuclear test site has finished its mission,” the official Korean Central News Agency quoted Kim as saying.

Yeah, that sounds like someone who has no plans on denuclearization, instead it sounds as if Kim is looking to negotiate from a position of strength. If North Korea truly has a functional nuclear missile program, we may very well see Kim Jong Un attempt to look for concessions from the United States that could include a reduction of military presence in South Korea. If that is the case we may not see anything big come from the upcoming summit.

Without a doubt Trump has to be eyeing this summit as something historic. If can manage to get North Korea to give up their nukes (highly unlikely), his presidency will go down in history for something other than Russian interference in US elections

President Donald Trump is Trolling Us….

President Donald Trump is trolling us!

Plain and simple, and this is something I have been telling people since he became President of the United States. Unfortunately way too many of you out there still don’t get it, and fall for it EVERY time Trump sends out a tweet, or says something off-the-cuff during photo-ops.

Example, Donald Trump says the following this past Monday

“You don’t know until you test it, but I think, I really believe I’d run in there, even if I didn’t have a weapon, and I think most of the people in this room would have done that too,”

Social media went nuts with all types of memes and mentioning how Trump avoided the draft with deferments.

Whhhyyyyyyy????

Any sane person knows Trump is full of shit, and yes there are Trump supporters who believe it, but who cares? You are never going to convince a Trump Supporter that Trump is full of shit, so why waste the energy? Why give this story ANY energy at all?

It never fails as my social media feeds still goes nuts, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. And this is causing serious issues with people’s mental states…

In September 2017 The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank wrote about this,

“Since the start of Trump’s rise to power,” Aibel writes, analysts “have become acutely attuned to traumatic arousals” in patients from the political environment. “Several colleagues have shared that many formerly eating disordered patients were retriggered to bulimic episodes that hadn’t occurred in many years until Trump’s candidacy. . . . In the run-up to the election, mental health providers of all stripes were reporting ‘a striking number of anxious and depressed clients who are fixated on the election, primarily fearful of Trump.’ Since Election Day, such colloquialisms as Trump Slump, Trump Anxiety and Trump Affective Disorder achieved cultural and perhaps even clinical currency (in an informally diagnostic sense, of course) along with increases in reported incidents of bullying” and the like.

Those on the right might label this “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” much as I and others detected an “Obama Derangement Syndrome” previously. But the mental trauma caused by politics has reached a point, Aibel argues, where psychoanalysts must rethink how they do things.

As mentioned by Milbank, conservatives definitely had anxiety over Barack Obama, but this seems different. And maybe I notice it more because I am a Democrat and I have more friends who are Democrats. Whatever it is people have to relax a lil bit.

I am no Trump fan, I have despised the man since the 80s (Central Park 5), but I refuse to let this man affect my day-to-day quality of life. And this is coming from someone who loves politics. For those who no me I was that person that debate politics for hours on Twitter and Facebook. I would go to sleep debating and then I would continue that debate first thing in the morning.

And what did I gain from that?

Nothing, absolutely nothing!

Well, not completely nothing, but nothing of substance that would help me going forward. I had to learn that not everyone on Twitter is was worth my energy.

In all honesty I am way too smart to waste time on some lame with 15 followers… I know that sounds so bad, but what’s worse is that people are hyperventilating on their Facebook and Instagram feeds, where more than likely they are screaming to people who think like them.

It’s amazing that people/media still react to Trump, by now we know this guys story. This is the same man who felt the need to lie about the size of his inauguration crowd, and thought it was necessary to have his Press Secretary (Sean Spicer) lie about it as well.

Everything Trump does is not a four-alarm fire, relax…

Ray Lewis tells Kaepernick to stop getting “caught up in some of this nonsense…”

If you missed it Monday, Shannon Sharpe verbally assassinated Ray Lewis debating the Ravens handling the Colin Kaepernick on FS-1’s ‘Skip and Shannon Undisputed’.

Ray Lewis must think we are all fools, as he tries to convince Shannon, Skip Bayless, and anyone else who will listen that the Ravens not bringing in Kaepernick is more than just his activism.

After being slammed on social media Ray attempted to clean it up with the following video via Twitter.

WTH…

According to Lewis, Kaepernick should be quiet and just play football. Is that the kind of advice Lewis would have given to Jim Brown, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russell and Muhammad Ali? And when Lewis refers to Kaepernick being “caught up in some of this nonsense” is he calling police brutality and unfairness in the criminal justice system nonsense?

At this point Lewis is tripping over himself, trying to clean up his ridiculous take on this matter. He says he doesn’t know Kaepernick, but this is a brotherhood. If that’s the case contact Kaep, stop going on TV and posting videos about Kaep being in your prayers.

Come on Ray, do better!

Is the Senate Republican Health-Care Bill Dead?

Late Monday evening Republican Senators Mike Lee (Utah) and Jerry Moran (Kansas) tweeted their opposition to the latest version of the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BRCA).

“There are serious problems with Obamacare, and my goal remains what it has been for a long time: to repeal and replace it,”

“This closed-door process has yielded the BCRA, which fails to repeal the Affordable Care Act or address healthcare’s rising costs. For the same reasons I could not support the previous version of this bill, I cannot support this one.” – Moran

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the rest of the republican senate started the process of trying to repeal and replace Obamacare knowing they could only afford to lose 2 votes to pass any legislation. With Lee and Moran announcing their opposition to the BCRA the number of republicans that have publicly opposed the legislation now stands at 4, including Senators Rand Paul (Kentucky) and Susan Collins (Maine).

As much as Republicans hate the idea, they should work with Democrats on legislation that can shore up the health exchanges, lower premiums and lower deductibles within the framework of Obamacare.

Of course that’s easier said than done since republicans have built their base on a repeal and replace rhetoric that never had their constituents in mind.

Meanwhile, what’s next for the Trump White House?

Right now their only accomplishment is helping the ratings for MSNBC shows ‘Morning Joe’ and ‘The Rachel Maddow Show’

Senate Republicans Unveil New Health Care Plan

Senate republicans introduced another health care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), and if you are keeping count that is plan number 3, including the House plan.

So what have we learned from these republican plans to replace Obamacare?

Well, republicans seem to not give a damn about poor people being able to afford healthcare, and they don’t really care about keep campaign promises.

Throughout Trump’s campaign he said he would not make cuts to Medicaid

But President Trump celebrated the House health care plan; The American Health Care Act (AHCA) in the White House Rose Garden when the House passed its plan. A plan that included approximately $834 billion in cuts to Medicaid

What happened President Trump?

What happened to republicans promising to lower deductibles and premiums?

In the beginning of the year on Face the Nation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell talked about the status quo being “unacceptable” with premiums and deductibles being too high. The problem is that healthcare plans from both the House and Senate fail to address what they have promised. And they lead to more Americans being without health insurance. Their plans offer cheap programs that will allow insurers to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions while deductibles remain high.

How does these plans offered by Republicans Make America Great Again???

What’s so great about making it more difficult for the less fortunate to receive affordable health care?

Yes, In 2011 President Obama Suspended the Iraqi Refugee Program…

Yes, In 2011 President Obama suspended the Iraqi Refugee Program for 6-months.

In response to the backlash President Trump has received since he signed the immigration executive order,  many conservatives and Trump supporters have mentioned Obama suspending the receiving of Iraqi refugees in the U.S. The problem with that comparison is that Obama’s suspension of the refugee program was in response to 2 al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

And at that time Obama didn’t restrict visa access, they slowed down the process of allowing visas and added additional security checks because of actionable intelligence. In Trump’s case he seems to be acting within a bubble that did not include anyone outside of the oval office.

The Department of Homeland Security only saw details of the executive order on Friday, the day it was signed, and basically left border patrol agents on their own to figure out how to enforce the order.

Get it together Trump!!

Donald Trump Will Win Tonight’s Debate

Donald Trump will win tonight’s debate…..

Yup, that’s right!

The man with no real grasp of foreign affairs or how government works or how trade deficits work; will win tonight’s debate against Hillary Clinton and it’s very simple.

All Trump will have to do is seem normal, that’s it!

In saying this, I am not saying that Trump will be the next president of the United States. We have already seen that a first debate win doesn’t necessarily translate into residency at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (See Mitt Romney 2012).

If Trump can refrain from talking about the size of his hands, and WWE style vignettes he can endear himself those who can’t stand Clinton and just need a coherent reason not to vote for her. The problem is can Trump contain himself? Can he resist the urge to not be the SHOW?

Who knows, but it should be interesting tonight.
