When it comes to President Trump, any criticism of him is usually brushed to side as just hate from the Liberal media and Liberals in general. That’s cool, because no one can argue that, as we are more partisan now than at any other time in our history.
And that’s fine, you can call my thoughts and opinions as biased, but can you dismiss a conservative who criticizes Trump?
SE Cupp of CNN is far from a Liberal and she is no “Rino” (Republican In Name Only). Cupp has been very critical of Trump and his administration, going as far to say that “the president is not well…”
Don’t take my word for it, checkout Cupp’s latest episode of ‘SE Cupp’s Unfiltered’

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is on that bullsh*t, lets be honest.
Today Rand Paul blocked a senate resolution that would have restated the Senate’s support for whistleblower protections, because he supports the notion that President Trump should be able to face his accuser, as allowed by The Bills Rights. Paul went on to introduce his own legislation that included the president’s right to face his accuser along with the following,
“The bill I will introduce today will expand the whistleblower act [and] would be made retroactive so Edward Snowden can come home to live in his own country. All he did was expose that his government was not obeying the Constitution,”
Paul is picking and choosing what should apply to the president. If Paul feels so strongly that the president should be afforded the rights of every other American, shouldn’t that also include that the president can be indicted if he commits a crime?
What is it about Trump that Republicans trip over themselves to protect him and ignore the facts that are in plain sight?
Now Rand Paul is threatening to expose the identity of the whistleblower… What about the Whistleblower Protection Act??

On Sunday as a guest of Charlotte Jones (daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones) Ellen DeGeneres yucked it up with former President George W Bush while watching the Green Bay Packers beat up on the Dallas Cowboys.
When I saw the moment caught by the NFL on Fox broadcast, my
initial thought was this is going to go viral on social media. I knew there
were going to be a bunch of Twitter fingers angry seeing Ellen having a good
time with Bush. And of course, the outrage mob didn’t let me down. As many
questioned why the 2 were hanging together, others applauded the moment, for people
of opposing views being capable of being civilized.
For me, I wanted to see if Ellen or Bush would speak on the
chill session and not jump to conclusions and start calling anyone a sellout or
giving out any praise.
With social media talking about the moment all-day Monday,
Ellen decided to wait until Tuesday to speak on it during her show…
DeGeneres talked about what led to the moment and explained how
she was invited and that she knew she would be in company of people with differing
views.
“When we were invited, I was aware that I was going to be surrounded with people from very different views and beliefs. And I’m not talking about politics… I was rooting for the Packers,” DeGeneres joked. “So, I had to hide my cheese hat in Portia’s purse.”
Ellen went on to explain that she is friends with George
Bush and how its about not only being kind to people with the same view points
but to everyone
“Here’s the thing: I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have,” DeGeneres continued. “We’re all different and I think that we’ve forgotten that that’s okay that we’re all different… but just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them.”
After watching Ellen’s explanation, my first thought was, “Awesome Ellen, but…”
“Different views and beliefs”?
I know it has been a while since Bush was president
(2001-2009), but let’s not forget this is the same man that
Opposed the legal recognition of same sex marriage and supported the idea of an amendment that would prohibit same-sex couples from obtaining legal recognition
Threatened to veto the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) that would prohibit discrimination in hiring and employment based on sexual orientation or gender identity
Threatened to veto the Hates Crime Prevention Act that expanded crimes motivated by a victim’s actual or perceived gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability
To me this is more than just different views and beliefs, and leaves Ellen open to criticism as an advocate for LGBTQ rights.
I’m not saying Ellen should have walked out of the suite
when she saw Bush, or she should have brought up politics while watching the football
game. If this is your “friend” then I hope you are challenging your friends’ dangerous
views and beliefs. And that is something she never mentioned while asking us to
be kind to everyone.
And while Ellen was giving cover to Bush, Dubya was thankful and appreciated his friend sticking up for him…
That’s it?!?
As one person on Twitter noted (unfortunately I don’t have their Twitter handle),
“I have to take issue with this, with all due respect. There’s nothing wrong with being friends with people of different beliefs, but there IS something wrong with being friends with someone who has hurt you and your community without remorse or a change,”
This is what I am talking about, Ellen defends their friendship and Bush continues to stand by his anti-gay record while receiving praise for being able to have a chill session with his lesbian friend

It’s time for Bernie Sanders to end his presidential campaign, no more ‘Bern Baby Bern’!
I am not saying this because I disagree with Bernie’s politics,
or because I can’t take his constant yelling during debates, LOL. I am saying
this because the man just had surgery to insert 2 stents to address a blockage
in one artery.
Being President of the United States must be the most
stressful job on the planet and has taken its toll on younger and healthier men
than Sanders. This is not the job for a 78-year old man who just had 2 stents
inserted into his chest.
This is something Sanders must come to grip with, the
writing on the wall. Sanders’ campaign pulled $1.3 million in ad buys that were
supposed to start running in Iowa.
At 78-years old Bernie is not going to have a miracle
recovery that will allow him to campaign at the level he would need to stay
competitive in the primaries. It would be more productive of Bernie to stop his
campaign and to throw his support behind a candidate that shares his beliefs,
and the sooner that happens the better for whoever that candidate may be.
Now will Bernie selfishly stay in the race for his own ego or will do the right thing and put country first?

Senator Rand Paul is blocking Senator Kristen Gillibrand‘s attempt to fast-track the 9/11 Victims Compensation bill‘s approval in congress. Stating that the $10B price tag for the bill is too hefty of a price for something that is unpaid for.
“It has long been my feeling that we need to address our massive debt in the country,”
“And therefore any new spending … should be offset by cutting spending that’s less valuable. We need to at the very least have this debate.”
“As with any bill, Senator Paul always believes it needs to be paid for. Senator Paul is simply offering an amendment, which other senators support, to pay for this legislation,”
Spokesperson for Rand Paul
Some have noted that Rand Paul didn’t seem to mind adding to the nation’s massive debt when he voted ‘yes’ for President Trump’s Tax Reform bill. Paul did fight for changes to the bill, and admitted he did not get everything he wanted, but the main thing for him was that the people would be able to keep more of their money and less would be going to the federal gov’t.
The 9/11 Victims Compensation bill will pass, it will just continue to take a lil more hand wringing. I don’t foresee Paul will hold out for it to be 100% paid for but it is something he can hang his libertarian hat on.

Yes, last night was a disappointing moment for New York Yankee fans. With the acquisition of Giancarlo Stanton, Yankee fans had dreams of Stanton and Aaron Judge hitting 100 homers combined in a season.
But unlike the great Yankee teams led by Derek Jeter, the 2018 Yanks lacked strong pitching and a lineup of hitters that worked counts and frustrated pitchers. Still, the Yankees are still in good position to compete for an number of years. They have a number of young talented players ready to step up, while older players like C.C. Sabathia and Brett Gardner have probably seen their last days in pinstripes.
Players like Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar (soon to be AL Rookie of the Year) have already produced at the major league level, with Chance Adams (P), Domingo Acevedo (P), and Clint Frazier (hopefully can get past concussion issues) seemingly ready to contribute at the next level.
24-hours have not even passed, and fans are already pining for Joe Girardi, talking about signing Manny Machado and Bryce Harper… STOP IT!!!!
About a month ago I mentioned to a fellow Mets‘ fan that it would be nice to see the Mets push the narrative that Jacob deGrom should win the 2018 NL Cy Young regardless of his record.
Respect to the Mets (and because they are my squad do or die), they have capping real hard for deGrom over the past month or so. Constant discussion from the broadcast team, they pushed the agenda on their social media with the hashtag #48forCy
The Mets also put together a cool lil video…
I am often very critical of the Mets organization, but I have to give them their props for getting something right. Now if they can just operate like a team in one of the largest media markets…

We have all received those AMBER Alerts and Flood Warnings on our cell phones. This afternoon (Wednesday) at 2:18pm (Eastern), FEMA and the FCC performed the first test of the Wireless Emergency Alerts system.
And soon after the alert came out, social media blew up with folks criticizing the alert.
Come on people, are y’all that triggered by President Trump that you have to clown EVERYTHING associated with him or show displeasure?!?
People couldn’t help themselves and tweet the hacky joke, “Can I block this…” Or ask if this meant that Trump use the system the same way he uses Twitter?
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s look at the facts as reported by Vox.com
Approximately 100 mobile carriers, including all major wireless companies, participated in the testing. A second test that put messages on TV and radio, known as the Emergency Alert System, took place a couple of minutes later
The alert was transmitted in English and Spanish. Cell towers broadcast the test for about half an hour, during which time most cell phones that were switched on and within range of an active cell tower got the test message
The TV and radio system has been tested three times before; the texting system hasn’t. The test was initially scheduled for September but was postponed because of Hurricane Florence (Smart Move)
The system is the same one that’s used to warn the public about dangerous weather or missing children, such as tornado warnings and Amber Alerts. Users can’t opt out of texts, a requirement from a 2006 law passed by Congress called the Warning, Alert, and Response Network Act. Congress requires the system be tested every three years
The national warning system predates Trump and has been under development for years, and officials say there are some pretty specific guardrails in place to make sure it’s always used correctly
This is ultimately a good thing, but I will say it is still important for the people to know/understand how the system works. For example, how the system will be triggered? What’s the chain of approval for an alert to go out? What kind of a follow-up will we receive; instructions, etc…?

SMH, I need someone to get Ray Lewis, what’s going on with this brother that he is so “hurt” that Odell Beckham Jr doesn’t want to deal with him and his methods?
For the past couple of days Ray has been on repeat talking about Odell’s “foundation”, as well as rambling about other people he has helped.
And don’t get me wrong, if Ray is able to help people get on the right path that’s great. I will never hate on someone getting their life together, but Ray is out here on FS-1’s ‘Undisputed’ talking about Odell as if the man’s life is in danger.
Odell has had his fair share of issues, but in listening to Ray you would think Odell was someone frequently mentioned on NYPD’s police blotter.
"I look at Odell as a son of mine, so am I hurt? Absolutely. Why wouldn't I be hurt?"@raylewis explains his comments regarding Odell Beckham Jr. pic.twitter.com/QOxVZkYvzy
